My reviews consist of my thoughts and feelings about the book as I read, and after I read, as a result, my reviews are subjective.
My reviews are honest, I will not compromise my integrity as a book blogger. I review most every novel that I read, so please be aware that those sometimes include negative reviews. I don't take pleasure in negative reviews, but as stated above my reviews will be my honest opinion.
Reviews include cover art, a synopsis of the novel*, my personal thoughts about the book, and publication details. I also try to post my reviews on GoodReads, LibraryThing and Amazon. (however, at times they are delayed in these postings)
Are we currently accepting review copies? Yes, we are accepting review copies and requests at this time.
Genres and Types of Books we accept.
Star Shadow Blog is mainly a Young Adult book blog. (all YA titles are considered) Genres that we prefer:
- Dystopian/Post Apocolyptic
- Paranormal/Supernatural
- Urban Fantasy
- Romance
- Sci/Fi - Fantasy
- Historical fiction
- Cookbooks
- Some Middle Grade titles will be considered
I do not usually accept:
- Nonfiction: autobiographies/biographies/memoirs
- Erotic - overly sexual storylines
- Horror/Murders
- Books with an overly religious undertone
I can accept e-books for review, however hard copies will take precedence and are prefered.
When I accept a novel to review:
It does not guarantee that the novel will be read, or that I will post a review. If I by chance can not review this title, it will be sent on to another blogger who is able to do a review.
How long will it take for a review: I attempt to read the review titles that I receive in a timely manner, however, I do have time constraints. If the book is an ARC, I will try to review the book in the month surrounding its release date, in most cases before the book is released or shortly after. I cannot always promise a review by date its published.
Interviews/Guest Posts/Blog Tours
I am happy to host authors for an interview, guest post or a stop on a blog tour.
If you are interested in doing an author interview or spotlight, I do request that a copy of your novel be sent with ample time to read before questions need to be submitted.
If I am not familiar with your work/with the authors work, I do require the option to read the title before I will agree to an interview or a guest post.

As of February 24th, this blog currently receives 1,400+ visitors a month, with 7,000+ page views a month, a Google Page Rank of 3. The top five visiting countries are the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Philippines and Australia.
