Guest Post- Jennifer Murgia

This post was meant to go out last week during Author Appreciation week but I figured today would be the perfect day for this.. Soooo it is my pleasure to welcome Jennifer Murgia and her guest post, For those of you who have no clue who Jennifer Murgia is... well I must say WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!!! no really im kidding, however, Jennifer Murgia is a Debut Author of 2010. She has her first novel Angel Star coming out on May 18th. Which I certainly can not wait for.. OK enough gushing over her.. shes awesome.! Here is some wonderful Pictureage lol yes a new word.

Thanks for having me on your blog today! After mulling over what to babble about, I decided to go with the flow. Most bloggers are running Author Appreciation posts right now, so . . .  let’s turn the tables and talk about Blogger Appreciation!
Bloggers . . . reviewers . . . those awesome sites on the web that suck you in with the amazing backgrounds and beautiful covers of the latest novel – catering to the specialty of the house. Is it YA? Romance? Urban Fantasy? Getting your latest novel into the hands of one, or even many, is a dream come true to an author. It promotes not only the book, but your self-esteem.
I really want to step back and stress what these incredible girls (and sometimes guys) do. What busy lives they lead!
Blogging comes from the simple act of loving books.  To read the latest novel hitting the shelf is a rush, but to post your reaction- your thoughts- is another entirely, and the decision on how to rate it is not an easy task – exciting yes- but I cannot imagine it being easy at all. Not only does it involve reading countless of books piled in the corners of their homes, it’s the effort to obtain those books. The e-mails, the requests – not to mention the United States Postal Service must love them! On top of it all are author interviews to arrange, the guest posts to schedule and the giveaways and contests they run not only for the public, but among themselves.
These incredible people have not only their blogging responsibilities – which I can imagine is full time and can quickly sprout legs and run away when their backs are turned – but they have jobs and families as well. Let’s throw into the mix the constant hum of internet interaction. Twitter, Facebook and book sharing sites. The deadlines when they run or participate in ARC tours  . . . it all boils down to the simple realization that you clearly believe in your passion for books as much as authors.
So authors and followers – take the time to think about the job these girls do and appreciate them. Shoot an email and say “great job!” because they truly deserve it. I’m in awe of you all. J

Could she be any more humble? I can not WAIT to read Angel Star, not only because the book sounds sooo freaking amazing but because the author is so amazing, she's honest, and soo real - not to mention funny! :)
